Klagenfurt, Austria.

One day while in Italy, my family and I decided to drive to Austria. It was two hours away, so we only stayed for the day.

City Hall.

Lindwurm fountain in the city centre.

There are many small market stalls. This particular one has a tiny kitchen in the back.

This was my second time coming to Austria. Both experiences were enjoyable. I think that what makes Austria special is the captivating architecture and the overall culture. I am definitely looking forward to exploring more of this beautiful country in the future. Aufiderzein!

Venice.

Venice is one of the most unique places I've ever been to. Its architecture, canals, the many bridges and the atmosphere makes this place seem magical.

You can expect it to be crowded anywhere near the main attractions.

View from the Rialto Bridge of the Grand Canal.

Often the streets of Venice flood and raised platforms are needed to get around.

This is the Piazza San Marco or in English, St Mark's Square.

Flooding in the square.

This is the church of San Marco, currently under a bit of construction.

There are many bars and shops bordering the piazza. The one above is a very old, and charming bar where the seats are covered in velvet and the walls have beautiful murals.

Just about every other shop in Venice looks like this. It is one of the reason the city is also known as 'City of Masks'.

Unfortunately, the future of this beautiful city is uncertain. The sea levels are rising and Venice is slowly sinking into the Adriatic sea. It would be a shame if we lost this incredible place, it has an amazing history and such beauty.

Grado.

One of the fist places I went to was the beach, only about 45 minutes away from where I am staying. I definitely didn't take enough pictures, and picked the worst day to take them (also an excuse to go back) but this is Grado.

There are long beaches with fine sand and the town is very charming. Many people come here for their vacations, to relax and get tan. Very tan.

The center of the town is fairly modern with plenty of bars and shops but just past the center you find all the old buildings. It truly is an alluring place.

Grado really is the perfect place to escape the heat of the city.

Italia.

On August 24, I will be going to Italy. I'm going because a relative is getting married, but, I also plan to do some traveling. Hopefully I will see Venice, Florence, and Bologna. I don't have so much time there but I'm going to try to put up as many blog posts as I can.
I'm also planning on making a post on NYC. I have been taking the train there a lot recently and I took a few photos too.

Canada.

I have been back in the states for a while but here is my post on my 4 day stay in Canada.

We took a hike in the park, which is near our property, so we could visit another lake.

Paddle boarding.

One thing I was looking forward to was windsurfing. I got to practice with the little wind there was and every time I got the sail up, the easier it got.

It may not look like a big fall, but when you're standing at the top, it does. The moment you jump, there is no turning back.

The best feeling is when you sit in the front of the boat and look out over the still water before the boat hits it. It feels as if you are flying over it.

Fishing is one of my favorite things to do. I even have a secret to catching the most fish. But the part about fishing I don't like is cleaning them. Most of the time I stand by the sink and watch my grandma clean them but I tried to clean one this time. I hated it, and I wasn't too good at it either.

Poutine. Who doesn't like fries covered in melted cheese and gravy?!
